18 Players Hit Super Eagles Camp as Poland, Portugal Tests Approach
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle is preparing his squad for friendlies against Poland and Portugal, with 18 players in camp.
The Super Eagles have opened camp in Warsaw as preparations begin for their international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
The Nigerian squad arrived in Poland on Monday following their successful outing at the 2026 Unity Cup in London, where they lifted the trophy.
Team media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed that 18 players are already in camp, with 16 taking part in the team’s first training session later that evening.
Among those present are goalkeepers Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and Arthur Okonkwo, alongside senior players such as Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, Terem Moffi, Semi Ajayi, Paul Onuachu and Frank Onyeka.
Also in camp are Akor Adams, Tochukwu Nnadi, Emmanuel Fernandez, Rafiu Durosinmi, Zaidu Sanusi, Igho Ogbu, Raphael Onyedika, Bruno Onyemaechi and Abdullahi Ibrahim.
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has already ruled out the participation of star attackers Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.
Chelle explained that Osimhen was allowed time away from the national team to resolve issues surrounding his club future, while Lookman was granted a rest period after a busy campaign following a request from Atlético Madrid.
The three-time African champions are scheduled to face Poland in Warsaw on June 3 before taking on Portugal in Leiria on June 10 as part of their preparations for future competitive assignments.
