APC: No Withdrawal of 2027 Presidential Campaign Council List, Says Morka

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied reports that it withdrew its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council list, describing the claim as a rumour.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified the position on Tuesday morning, saying the party would formally communicate any changes to the campaign council if such adjustments were made.

His statement came after reports circulated that the ruling party had withdrawn the list released in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

In a brief response to TheCable, Morka dismissed the reports and insisted that there had been no official withdrawal of the list.

He said, “It’s rumour. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced.”

The party recently unveiled the composition of its Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with President Bola Tinubu expected to seek another term in office.

The composition of the council attracted reactions from APC members and other stakeholders, particularly over the inclusion of some party figures and the absence of others.

Those reactions sparked speculation that the party could review or adjust the campaign structure.

Despite the speculation, Morka’s latest clarification confirms that the APC has not announced any withdrawal of the list. According to the party spokesman, any amendment to the composition will be officially communicated through the party’s established channels.
