Linus Williams Ifejirika, a well-known Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur, has been released on bail after being held in Kuje prison for alleged impersonation of activist Martins Vincent Otse.

The ruling was disclosed on Friday by activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore via a Facebook post.

Sowore stated that Blord was granted bail on self-recognizance after appearing before the Federal High Court in Abuja, although the court imposed additional conditions.

“Bail has been granted to Linus Williams, popularly known as @mrblordofficial BLORD, on self-recognizance. The court, however, ordered that he deposit his international passport as part of the bail conditions,” he said.

Blord had been remanded in custody since April 1 as the case proceeded.
