Aston Villa joined the list of UEFA Europa League champions after defeating SC Freiburg 3-0 in Wednesday’s final in Turkey.

The triumph gave Aston Villa their maiden Europa League crown and continued the impressive revival overseen by manager Unai Emery.

Goals from Youri Tielemans, Emiliano Buendia and Morgan Rogers secured the victory for the English side.

Despite Villa’s breakthrough success, Sevilla FC remain the competition’s most dominant club with seven Europa League titles — more than any other team in history.

Behind Sevilla are five clubs with three titles each: Inter Milan, Liverpool FC, Juventus FC, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
