Jamal Musiala Resumes Individual Training After Collapse in Bayern Friendly
Jamal Musiala has returned to training after undergoing tests following his collapse during Bayern Munich’s friendly against RB Leipzig.
Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has resumed training after undergoing medical examinations following his collapse during the club’s friendly against RB Leipzig.
Musiala, 23, fell to the pitch towards the end of Bayern’s 3-1 home victory over Leipzig on Saturday and needed medical attention in the sweltering Munich conditions, with temperatures rising above 30 degrees Celsius.
AFP sports subsidiary SID reported that the Germany international experienced dizziness, circulatory problems and a feverish feeling after the match.
Although Musiala was absent from Bayern’s open training session on Monday, he had already completed an individual training programme at the club’s Saebener Strasse headquarters earlier in the day.
Reports from German media suggest the midfielder is expected to rejoin his teammates for full training this week, potentially putting him in contention for Saturday’s Supercup clash against Borussia Dortmund.
Musiala has already endured a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken ankle at the Club World Cup, which kept him out for the first six months of the 2025-26 season.
The midfielder later returned to the Germany squad for the 2026 World Cup. Germany’s tournament, however, ended at the last-32 stage after they were eliminated by Paraguay.
