Ejike Ofoegbu, publisher of Igbo Time Magazine, has admitted that he created and distributed misleading videos falsely portraying himself as Ozonna Soludo, the son of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

In a video statement, Ofoegbu acknowledged that the content shared on Facebook and other social media platforms was fabricated and apologised to the governor, his family and the Nigerian public.

He admitted that several statements attributed to Governor Soludo and his son were entirely false.

Among the fabricated claims was an allegation that the governor had disowned Ozonna. Ofoegbu also confessed to inventing comments supposedly made by Ozonna about his father and other notable individuals.

Explaining his actions, he said the videos were produced to generate social media engagement and earn revenue online.
