Chelsea FC have parted company with head coach Liam Rosenior after a disappointing run of form, with Tuesday’s 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion proving decisive.

The club acknowledged Rosenior’s efforts, praising his professionalism and integrity since his mid-season appointment, but conceded that results have not met the required standard.

Assistant coach Calum McFarlane has been appointed interim head coach until the end of the season, supported by existing technical staff.

Chelsea said their focus remains on qualifying for European competitions and making progress in the FA Cup.

While confirming the decision, the club said it was made after careful consideration and revealed plans to begin the search for a permanent manager to bring long-term stability.
