Nigeria’s quest to retain the Unity Cup reaches its climax this weekend when the Super Eagles face Jamaica in the tournament final in London.

The team, led by Eric Chelle, earned their place in the championship match with a convincing 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in the semi-finals at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The standout performer was debutant Femi Azeez, whose two goals secured Nigeria’s passage to the final. In the process, he became the first Nigerian footballer in more than five decades to score a brace on his international debut.

Now, the Super Eagles will turn their attention to Jamaica, a side that finished second in the previous edition of the tournament.

Match Details

The Unity Cup final will take place on Saturday, May 30, at The Valley.
