President Donald Trump has indicated that the United States may shift its attention to Cuba once the ongoing conflict involving Iran is concluded.

Trump made the statement on Thursday at the White House while welcoming players and officials from Inter Miami CF, winners of the 2025 Major League Soccer title.

Speaking to a crowd largely composed of Miami residents, including several people of Cuban descent, Trump said Washington intends to deal with the situation in Iran first before potentially addressing issues involving Cuba.

“What’s happening with Cuba is amazing. We think that we want to fix, finish this one first, but that will be just a question of time before you and a lot of unbelievable people are going to be going back to Cuba, hopefully not to stay,” he said.

Trump’s remarks come amid rising military tensions in the Middle East, with the United States and Israel engaged in hostilities involving Iran.

“We are totally demolishing the enemy,” he said.
