Some of the bitter experiences you will have at the verge of your breakthrough are betrayal, envy, injustice and abandonment. And if indeed you have a great destiny, you must go through all these and more before your miracle. True. You cannot escape it. And the worst is that most of them will come from unexpected quarters. But if you can stand your ground, remain focused and wriggle out of them successfully, then you will sure have your testimony. Please, mark my choice of words here – stand your ground (unbreakable), remain focused (not be distracted), wriggle out (manage to escape). As I said, there is no great destiny that will not pass through these ‘checks’. Look at Joseph, God had shown him that he would be a very great man. Yes, he heard God clearly. And his father and brothers also knew that something big was coming through him, but nobody (not even God) told the young boy that he would go through ‘hell’ before seeing the realization of those dreams. And I am sure that if they had, he would have to get involved in refused the project. Have you realized that God, most times, does not give out all the details of an assignment, especially the pain, the trial and the challenges that must come with it? He may tell you the glamorous and glorious, but not the very dark, extreme dangerous and discouraging paths. Yes, I believe if he does, most people will refuse the assignment. Are you following? Now, this explains why most people, including very great men of God (and even Jesus) would come to a point where they would be tempted to abandoned the vision. Do you feel abandoned now?

Nobody told Joseph that his beautiful divine dreams, gifts, his coat of many colours, the love from his father and his total commitment to righteousness would land him in a pit without water, in Potiphar’s house as a slave and later in an underground dark prison – dungeon. Nobody!  He was going to find that out by himself. The envy of his brother threw him into the pit, the false accusations of his boss and the wife landed his in the jail where the betrayal of the palace cup bearer prolonged and abandoned for many years. But God was still secretly, meticulously, consistently manipulating and manoeuvrings all these events to bring his vision to pass. Yes, you cannot destroy a man of dreams! The most touching to me was his words to the cup-bearer before he left: “And please remember me and do me a favour when things go well for you. Mention me to Pharaoh, so he might let me out of this place.  For I was kidnapped from my homeland, the land of the Hebrews, and now I’m here in prison, but I did nothing to deserve it.’… Pharaoh’s chief cup-bearer, however, forgot all about Joseph, never giving him another thought.” Genesis 40:14-5, 23. Those that trust in men will always live in regrets. Maybe like Joseph, those that you helped in the past have also forgotten you or are currently repaying you with evil. Please relax; it is part of your promotion package.

Jews

The Jews (old, young, women, and children) in Susa had already given up when heaven initiated one of the most complex deliverances even conducted on earth. They were condemned to death and a date – March 7 was fixed for their execution and confiscation of all their properties. But the whole council of heaven went to work – from personal message to the queen, to organizing a special royal party, to implicating and hanging the enemy and to completely annulling the death decree and enacting a favourable one for the Jews. Certain death was transmuted into life. Yes, I believe some of these records still inspire the current secret, dreaded and invincible defenders of the Israel, especially the Mossad activities. Please, don’t give up. Your deliverance is coming. The plan is already on.

Jesus

Jesus nearly threw in the towel on the cross when he asked if the sufferings, pains, accusations, shame, betrayal, abandonment could be taken away from him. In fact, at that point he was already extremely tired, heavily wounded, profusely bleeding and completely abandoned. The only people – Mary and John that came a bit close, stayed afar away to watch him groan in crushing pain. Yes, hanging on the cross that day was the eve, the verge of the miracle of saving the whole world and any mistake would have messed up the whole salvation project. He was hanging between heaven and earth, God and man, judgment and mercy, past and present, life and death, failure and breakthrough. He quickly remembered all that have been put into the project and decided to hang on.
