Poco Lee’s UK Case Adjourned to February 2027 Over Missing Charge Sheet
Poco Lee’s UK court case has been adjourned after the charge sheet was unavailable. His plea hearing is now set for February 8, 2027.
The UK court handling the case involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, has moved his plea and trial preparation hearing to February 2027.
The matter was heard on Tuesday at Snaresbrook Crown Court but could not proceed after the charge sheet was found to be unavailable.
BBC News Pidgin reported that Poco Lee was absent from the proceedings and therefore did not enter a plea.
“In court, Poco Lee did not appear because the charge sheet was not available. As a result, he did not enter a plea,” the report stated.
The court has fixed February 8, 2027, for the next plea and trial preparation hearing, when Poco Lee is expected to state whether he is guilty or not guilty of the charges.
“However, the pre-trial hearing will now take place on 8 February 2027, and he is expected to enter his plea at that time.”
The trial date has also been set for March 8, 2027.
The adjournment comes after Poco Lee’s previous appearance before the court, where he was granted bail on September 11.
Reports said some Nigerians were present at Tuesday’s proceedings to show their support for the entertainer. The gallery reportedly became full, leaving some supporters waiting outside the courtroom.
After his initial court appearance, reports of his bail circulated, while videos emerged online of Poco Lee discussing his experience in the UK.
Snaresbrook Crown Court subsequently confirmed his bail status to the BBC, which reported that he remained on bail.
Poco Lee, who studied Microbiology at Lagos State University (LASU), gained widespread attention around 2018 after videos showcasing his legwork dance performances went viral.
