Shaikh Zakzaky Offers Heartfelt Support to Maiduguri Flood Survivors, by Amos Joseph

Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Borno State, particularly the residents of Maiduguri, following the recent devastating floods.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, and published on his official Facebook page, Sheikh Zakzaky urged the authorities to take all necessary measures to address and remedy the damage caused by the floods.

He also offered prayers for the deceased and wished for a swift recovery for those injured.

The statement reads: “In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. In light of the catastrophic floods that have struck Maiduguri, Borno, resulting in loss of life, injuries, and significant property damage, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky extends his deepest sympathies to the victims.

“He calls upon the authorities to undertake the essential steps to address and repair the damages inflicted by the floods.”

“He prays that Allah grants mercy to those who have passed away and speedy recovery to those who have been injured,” the statement concludes.
