Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has taken a formal step into politics after registering as a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ozubulu, Anambra State.
The actor, whose real name is Azubuike Michael, officially joined the African Democratic Congress on Saturday, receiving his membership card from the party ward chairman in his hometown.
He confirmed the development on Instagram, sharing a video of the registration process and his new party identity card.
“I dey my village, enough of the talking online, I don involve,” he stated.
While the event host hinted at possible political aspirations, including a potential House of Representatives contest, the actor has not publicly declared any intention to run for office.
Zubby Michael’s entry into the ADC reflects a growing trend of Nollywood stars engaging in active politics ahead of the 2027 elections, as entertainment figures increasingly align with political parties.
The ADC is currently recording a surge in membership across the country and is expected to play a stronger opposition role in the upcoming general elections.
