Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State on Thursday hosted members of the City Boy Movement, led by Seyi Tinubu, alongside Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawale, at the Government House in Benin.

Okpebholo described the group as a coordinated platform that deserves support across political and generational lines.

He noted that the movement’s mission aligns with efforts to build a more enduring and prosperous Nigeria.

The governor expressed optimism that the initiative would help inspire Nigerian youths to play a greater role in national development.

He also pledged support for President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the City Boy Movement is a youth-driven political advocacy organisation backing President Tinubu’s administration and re-election.

It focuses on mobilising Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 50 for civic engagement, political awareness, and community development, while bridging the gap between government and grassroots citizens.

The delegation, led by Seyi Tinubu as grand patron, visited Edo as part of a South-South regional tour aimed at youth mobilisation for nation-building.

The Minister of Youth Development, speaking earlier, said the visit was to engage the governor and Edo youths in supporting the movement’s goals.

Other stakeholders at the meeting emphasised the need for youth collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
