Tinubu Moves to Paris as Three-Week European Vacation Continues
President Bola Tinubu arrives in Paris for the next phase of his three-week European vacation, after departing Abuja for London on August 30.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, to continue his three-week annual vacation in Europe.
The President arrived in the French capital on Sunday and was welcomed by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke.
A video shared on Tinubu’s official X handle showed the President’s arrival in Paris.
Tinubu left Abuja on Sunday, August 30, 2026, for London, United Kingdom, where he commenced his annual leave before travelling onward to France.
The vacation was announced by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a three-paragraph statement released on August 30.
The statement, titled “President Tinubu Begins Three-Week Leave”, stated that Tinubu would return to Abuja after the holiday and participate in the campaign for the January 2027 general election.
The President began his vacation a week after the All Progressives Congress, APC, unveiled its Presidential Campaign Council list, which named Tinubu as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.
