To be frank, I do not support creation of additional States looking at the hardship that ordinary citizens have been going through for years. The reason why I am againsting the bill includes;

  1. There are States where civil servants are not fully paid on monthly basis, they get half of their renumeration while others nothing despite working effectively.
  2. Leaders failed to put an end to insecurity that ravaged some States, bandits and insurgents operate in broaday light without being prevented by security forces.
  3. The more States are created, the higher the demands for funds to sustain them while grant release by federal government is not enough to address financial needs of present States.
  4. Level of unemployed graduates is always increasing, it is a threat to peaceful coexistence and development when knowledgeable people are not practicalising their knowledge for good.
  5. There are abundant resources stocked in some State and yet to be tapped or extracted, the rate of will be high when more States are created and might lead to environmental degradation.
  6. Most of the identified areas as new States do not have resources that will boost national income, instead, money meant for transformative projects and standardizing lives in present States will be used in building new States.
