The nominations were disclosed in a State House press release issued on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. The Senate is expected to scrutinise the nominees before confirming their appointments.

Tinubu has also reappointed Dr Bala Bila as the national commissioner representing the North-East geopolitical zone.

Professor Mustapha Aliu was nominated to replace Professor Abdullahi Zuru as the North-West representative, while Bashir Muhammed Umar is expected to succeed Professor Muhammad Adamu as the North-Central representative.
