Galatasaray have reportedly rebuffed Arsenal’s attempt to sign Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen during talks held in Istanbul.

According to Turkish journalist Ömer Faruk Özcan, as reported by Nexus Sports, senior Arsenal officials travelled to Turkey to negotiate a deal for the Super Eagles striker.

The Gunners are said to have proposed a player-plus-cash offer, which included Swedish forward Viktor Gyökeres and an additional €30 million, instead of a direct transfer fee.

Despite the proposal, Galatasaray reportedly declined the offer, signalling their intention to keep Osimhen at the club.

The Nigerian striker has been linked with several leading European clubs in recent months after impressive displays, but Galatasaray appear unwilling to part with one of their key players amid increasing transfer interest.
