Genotype Confirmation: Why It Must Be Included As Part Of The Elements Of Marriage -By Tajudeen Abdulrauf Dasuki

In a bygone eras, many marital status suffered a series of trauma, and witnessed untimely children death, as to the ignorance and lacked of the confirmation of the both groom and bride’s genotype, before engaged.

Despite the facts that, we are now in the digital era, some couples are yet still making the same errors like the bygone eras. The issue now being something bothering the writer’s mind, often, that, what is making the present generation falling into the same bowl? Despite we are in the computer age. Are they ignorance of the word confirmation of genotype? Or what? I don’t even understand, which means, there must be a crucial thing or things making the issue reiterate. After a series of perusals made by the writer, he later invented and discovered the truth of the matter, the rationale things behind the issue of sickle cell having by some child or children. This, however, happened as to the unmatchable genotype who married eachother without considering the health of child/children that will come out of the wedlock or marriage – their own enjoyment is what paramount to them. But, to my greatest surprise, some affected couples are literate, but why are they being the victims? why both parties not scrutinized their genotype, prior engaged. However, the writer had found out some reasons, why some affected couples fell within the bowl. These can be succinct below. They are as follows;

– Unexpected pregnancy when courting

– Love and affection among spouse

– Improper order made by parents/families

– Greediness of any of the spouse and

– Incompetence Medical Hospitals – Doctor, to be precise.

The above-mentioned are what the writer invented as to what making the present generation – couples- having a child/ children who possess sickles cell, despite the fact that they are literate – not ignorance.

The explanation of the invented reasons will be brief sequentially.

Unexpected pregnancy when courting: It has been rampant in our society nowadays, that some are impregnated prior to the engagement day or marriage, which at times, the masculine might aimed not to had her married then but rather to scourt-free on her. But unfortunately and fortunately, it resulted in to pregnancy, unexpectedly or the feminine’s planned. Based on this, the issue of checking genotype is left behind and both will continue the journey with immediate effect, once the both parties have agreed and consented to the pregnancy.

Love and Affection among Spouse: some had been betrayed countlessly, while some had just had one eversince and some just had one who truly loved or be loved; such person would never let the one who loved or be loved leftovers – these victims have no options rather than to get themselves married. As known to us that, love and affection is among the conditions of marriage which the spouses must shared reciprocally. Based on the highlighted reasons above, that party just had one, which had been betrayed countlessly left such couple to no options, rather than forgotten or neglected the confirmation of genotype and then delved into marriage. It’s later when they were facing series of challenges encountered through the child/children’s health, then, their mind would be cast back  to examine which genotype both parties – couples, possess. So sympathetic! It might have get late.

Improper order made by parents/families: Parents/families are so different, what is done here is a taboo to another family. Many parents or families dig the problem(s) of some couples by themselves. The writer finds it irritating and annoying why some parents or families be insisted or slated the kind of person his/her child must bring to them or had forcefully marriage with someone whom his/her child didn’t adore at all – of their choice. And at this juncture, this also left some couples to encounter such challenges owing to the fact that no prior confirmation of the parties’s genotype and which is unmatchable.

Greediness of any of the spouse: Generally speaking, greediness dismantle many things. This greediness often found from the side of feminine party, who will be trying to enjoy herself and life with rich man – not want to settle with an hustler man, which their genotype match eachother rather went to the rich man whose genotype is contradictory to eachother; why can’t you get yourself a work to be supportive to the hustler one? though it is part of the husband’s duties to take care of his wife. Because of this, she makes use of her own enjoyment and greediness to dismantle the innocent child/children’s life. It’s often paining the writer that it’s only these child/children that will be feeling the pain, their parents will not; just to spend money only theirs concern.

Incompetence Medical Hospitals (Doctor to be precise): Why are you deceiving people? What’s your gain? You became aware that you are incompetent but yet still issued, conducted and run a test to patients. The causation of sickle cell to some child/children came from the professedly test’s result; issued by incompetent doctor or as an order, at times. Some thought it as frivolous thing but the birth going to born in the end will escalate as thought. Why those that aimed to lived a freely life were been deceived? Why were still deceived by  doctor? and at times, it’s an order from any of the spouse or family members ordered the doctor that conducted the test to deceived or change the outcome of the test because of their own satisfaction? This is so terrible!

Sickle cell is not a mere disease , that we count as minor issue, it is only those have it, can explain how painful it is and what they are encounter. It is a disease that makes the life of who possess been deteriorating.

The writer appeals to the parents, bachelors, and doctors outside there, that let try as much as possible to safe the next generations from lamenting and be questioned, as to why you brought them to this world? Many child/children affected by this disease, lamenting and cursing their parent and asking why are they gave birth to them? You might think of the money you have, that you will use it to take care of the disease, if that’s the true, some could have escaped the disease and not died untimely. But, don’t forget, you have many tasks you can invent on not only sickness always. It will have been better to safe their life than giving them what they don’t deserve, terrible life and everlasting problematic. It is high time you asked your partner what his/her genotype. If do not match, forget the love and affection, and the money in hand – register the form that will grant you the peace of mind after you have settled,  don’t let your selfishness affected the innocent child/children.

At this juncture, it will be the best acton ever, if genotype confirmation is been included to the prerequisite of marriage even be the first thing before others elements and once it is confirmed and matched as slated by astute scholars and grounded professional, the others can now be followed sequentially. Safe the next generation’s life; not only your own enjoyment matter most.
