A building in northern Tel Aviv was damaged on Tuesday following warnings of incoming missile attacks from Iran, with emergency services treating four people for light injuries.

AFP journalists at the scene observed debris scattered along the street and the facade of a three-storey residential building partially destroyed.

“The building had been hit by a direct strike,” confirmed Mayor Ron Huldai.

Israeli police and military sources said the damage likely resulted from a cluster munition missile carrying three to four warheads of roughly 100 kilograms each, according to local media reports.

The Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom shared video showing the destruction and confirmed that four residents were treated and discharged after inhaling smoke from a minor fire caused by the blast.

Israel’s military issued multiple alerts on Tuesday, warning of missile attacks from Iran in central and southern Israel and from Lebanon in the north. Officials said over 90 percent of incoming missiles are intercepted, though missile defenses are not completely foolproof.

Police dispatched bomb disposal units to several impact sites across Tel Aviv. Aside from the four people treated after the direct strike, no additional injuries were reported.
