Iran launched a new missile barrage targeting Israel on Tuesday, striking Tel Aviv and causing damage and injuries, even as Tehran denied claims of ongoing negotiations with the United States.

Emergency crews responded to multiple impact sites, treating at least four people with minor injuries. Footage from the scene showed destroyed structures and debris scattered across the area.

Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai described the incident as a “direct strike” on a residential building, with visible damage to a three-storey property.

Israeli authorities believe the attack involved a cluster munition missile with several warheads, each carrying significant explosive power.

The strike came hours after Donald Trump announced a pause in planned US attacks on Iranian energy sites, citing progress in discussions aimed at ending the conflict.

Trump said talks were ongoing with a high-level contact and warned:

“If talks failed in the next five days ‘we’ll just keep bombing our little hearts out’.”

However, Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, dismissed the claim, stating there were “no negotiations” and accusing Washington of trying “to manipulate the financial and oil markets.”

Media reports indicated possible talks involving US officials Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Pakistan, though the White House said nothing had been finalised.

Pakistan’s leader Shehbaz Sharif confirmed contact with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, offering assistance to de-escalate tensions.

Despite diplomatic uncertainty, Benjamin Netanyahu signalled continued military action.

“Trump believes there is a chance to leverage the tremendous achievements of the IDF and the US military… in an agreement,” he said.

Israel also intensified strikes in Beirut, with casualties reported, while the conflict has led to thousands of deaths across the region and mass displacement in Lebanon.

Analysts warn that the war could severely disrupt global energy markets, with oil prices already crossing $100 per barrel before briefly easing after Trump’s remarks.
