With the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup fast approaching, all 48 participating nations have unveiled their final squads for the tournament.

The expanded competition will mark a historic first, as 48 countries compete for the world title across three host nations — the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In recent weeks, coaches have been forced to make some of the toughest decisions of the World Cup cycle, reducing preliminary rosters to the final 26-player squads that will represent their countries on football’s grandest stage.

The confirmed selections feature a mix of experienced stars and rising prospects, reflecting the diverse talent expected to headline the tournament.

Global icons such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane are among the standout names included, while emerging talents like Lamine Yamal, Endrick and Gilberto Mora are expected to attract significant attention.

The tournament will also highlight the broad age range among participants. Veteran Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon enters the competition as the oldest player at 43 years old, while a number of teenage stars are preparing for their first appearance at a World Cup.

With squad selections now complete, attention turns to the opening matches of what promises to be the biggest and most diverse World Cup in football history.
