Guinness Nigeria’s Profit Jumps 53% as Revenue Hits N265bn in H1 2026
Guinness Nigeria’s H1 2026 revenue reached N265bn as profit after tax rose 53% to N25.3bn and net debt dropped from N37bn to N19bn.
LAGOS — Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced a 53 per cent rise in profit after tax to N25.3 billion for the first six months of 2026, alongside revenue of approximately N265 billion.
The company said the results demonstrate continued progress in profitability, operational efficiency and balance-sheet strengthening as it moves into a new phase of growth.
The brewer presented the results during its first-half 2026 Investors and Analysts Call, attended by Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Girish Sharma, Finance and Strategy Director Mayank Kabra, and Corporate Relations and Legal Director Rotimi Odusola.
The management team provided an update on the company’s financial performance, strategic priorities and business outlook.
According to Guinness Nigeria, its H1 performance was driven by a continued focus on quality growth and improved operational efficiency, while efforts to strengthen the company’s financial position also recorded significant gains.
The company’s balance sheet improved considerably during the period. Shareholders’ equity rose from N43.3 billion to N64.2 billion, while net debt dropped from about N37 billion to approximately N19 billion.
The company said the reduction in leverage and improvement in shareholders’ equity represented an important step in building a more resilient business and positioning it for future growth.
Sharma said Guinness Nigeria had moved beyond the period of operating with a weak balance sheet and was now better positioned to invest in the business and deliver stronger returns.
“We have made significant progress in strengthening our financial position while continuing to invest in the growth of the business. The days of operating with a weak balance sheet are behind us. Today, we are in a much stronger position to pursue growth, improve returns and create sustainable value for our shareholders and other stakeholders,” he said.
Guinness Nigeria said its growth strategy remains focused on continued investment in its brands, manufacturing capabilities and route-to-market operations.
The company added that its improved profitability and stronger balance sheet provide a solid foundation for the next phase of its business growth.
