Haaland, Demirović and Tresoldi Share Champions League Golden Boot Lead
Check the UEFA Champions League top scorers after Matchday 2, with Haaland, Demirović and Tresoldi leading on four goals apiece.
Erling Haaland, Ermedin Demirović and Nicolò Tresoldi have emerged as joint leaders in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League scoring race, with each forward recording four goals after Matchday 2.
UEFA’s scoring standings show the three players at the top following the completion of the second round of league-phase matches on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Five players follow closely with three goals each.
Tresoldi made a significant jump in the standings after producing a hat-trick for Club Brugge in their dramatic 4-3 victory over Inter Milan on Tuesday, October 13. The forward had also scored from the penalty spot during his club’s opening-match defeat to Aston Villa.
Haaland joined Tresoldi on four goals after scoring twice in Manchester City’s 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain. The Norwegian striker has accounted for all four of City’s goals in the Champions League this season.
Demirović completed the leading trio by scoring in Stuttgart’s 3-0 win over Slovan Bratislava. The forward had already announced himself in the competition with a hat-trick against Viking in September.
Behind the leading scorers, five players have registered three goals each. They are Liverpool’s Bradley Barcola, Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé and Ferran Torres, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, and Aston Villa’s Nicolas Jackson.
Barcola recorded a hat-trick in Liverpool’s 6-3 triumph over LASK. Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich played out a 3-3 draw with Viking, while Jackson also claimed a brace in Aston Villa’s emphatic 6-0 victory over Fenerbahçe.
With only two rounds of league-phase matches completed, the race for the Champions League Golden Boot remains wide open. Several prominent strikers and rising attacking talents have already established themselves among the competition’s leading scorers.
