Harry Kane Tops Marca’s 2025-2026 Player Ranking, Beating Yamal and Mbappé
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane ranks first in Marca’s 2025-2026 player list, with Lamine Yamal second and Kylian Mbappé third.
Harry Kane has emerged as the leading player of the 2025-2026 season in Spanish newspaper Marca’s annual Top 100 Players ranking, finishing ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé just three days before the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony.
The Bayern Munich striker claimed first place in the list published on Friday, with Yamal finishing as runner-up and Mbappé occupying third position.
Marca’s annual ranking was determined with input from a panel of more than 200 former footballers, journalists and analysts worldwide. The contributors evaluated players based on their performances for club and country during the season.
Manchester City midfielder Rodri was ranked fourth, while Paris Saint-Germain’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia took fifth place.
Lionel Messi, captain of Inter Miami, finished sixth. PSG midfielder Fabián Ruiz was seventh, followed by Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise in eighth. Ousmane Dembélé, Olise’s France teammate who plays for PSG, came ninth, while Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí rounded off the top 10.
Bellingham Leads Real Madrid Teammates
Among Real Madrid’s leading players, Jude Bellingham finished 15th in the ranking, ahead of Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior, who was placed 22nd.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois came 28th, while Turkish midfielder Arda Güler occupied 47th position.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal’s national team captain and an Al-Nassr player in Saudi Arabia, was ranked 33rd. His Al-Nassr teammate João Félix finished 70th.
Several Barcelona Stars Make the List
Barcelona’s representation extended beyond Yamal, who finished second. Brazilian winger Raphinha secured 13th place, while midfielder Pedri came 14th.
Ferran Torres ranked 17th, with Dani Olmo following at 21st. Goalkeeper Joan García finished 42nd, while defender Eric García placed 55th.
Paris Saint-Germain also featured prominently, with Kvaratskhelia, Fabián Ruiz and Dembélé all making the top 10. Other PSG players included Achraf Hakimi, who ranked 20th, as well as Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, João Neves, Marquinhos and Willian Pacho.
The ranking also recognised footballers competing outside Europe’s major leagues. Messi was included for his performances with Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, while Ronaldo represented Al-Nassr in the Saudi Arabian league.
With Kane leading Marca’s list ahead of Yamal and Mbappé, the ranking adds another talking point as football fans look ahead to Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
