President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will visit Ogun State on Saturday to commission and inspect a wide range of infrastructure projects, underscoring the state’s ongoing drive for economic expansion and improved public services.

The details were contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, who said the visit would highlight major investments across critical sectors.

Top on the agenda is the commissioning of the Gateway International Airport, Iperu, a flagship project intended to establish Ogun as a major player in aviation and logistics.

Tinubu will also commission two aircraft under Gateway Air, marking the launch of the state’s airline in partnership with ValueJet.

A cargo operations showcase, facilitated by SAHCOL, will further demonstrate the airport’s readiness for freight and logistics activities.

Outside the airport, the President will inaugurate the Ilishan–Iperu Airport Road to enhance accessibility, inspect the Nigeria Customs Service Village, and commission the Forward Operating Base building to strengthen security and trade facilitation.

He will also inspect and commission the Gateway Aviation Village, a development designed to complement the state’s aviation sector.

Additionally, the reconstructed Sapade–Ilishan Road will be commissioned and renamed the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Expressway, a move expected to boost connectivity and commercial activities.

The visit will conclude with an inspection of the Sagamu–Benin Concrete Road, a key federal infrastructure project aimed at easing transportation along a major route.
