Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed head coach Igor Tudor by mutual agreement following a poor run of results that has dragged the club into a relegation battle.

Tudor’s tenure lasted just 44 days, during which he suffered five defeats in seven matches, leaving Spurs hovering just above the drop zone in the Premier League.

“I will respect and implement the CAS decision. My personal opinion regarding the matter is irrelevant,” Motsepe said. (Note: original quote retained earlier; main Spurs quote below)

Tottenham said: “We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect… We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family.”

The Croatian coach had taken charge in February after Thomas Frank was sacked but failed to reverse the club’s downward trajectory.

A heavy 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest marked the end of his reign, though he missed post-match duties after receiving news of his father’s death.

Spurs’ struggles have been compounded by injuries and inconsistency, with no league win since December and early exits from all competitions.

Even their lone win under Tudor—a 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid—proved meaningless as they were knocked out of the Champions League.

The club, once a regular in Europe under Mauricio Pochettino, now faces the real prospect of relegation for the first time since 1977.

With just seven games remaining, Spurs are scrambling for survival, while managerial candidates such as Roberto De Zerbi and Sean Dyche are reportedly under consideration.
