The Rich Also Cry, by Abdulhamid Yahya

One of the definitions of politics by global scholars is, “Politics is a dirty game”

The crying of fault play by the African billionaire in connection with his multibillion dollar investment in Nigeria amplify the definition of politics as a dirty game.

We play politics everywhere; in governance, security, education and now, the economy. PBAT is playing with the base (the economy). If the petroleum industry collapsed, the government will not find it funny.

When you play politics with security, the result, people die. When you play politics with governance, the result is either abandoned projects or misplaced priorities. When you play politics with education, the results are poor quality, delay in graduation and/or proliferation of higher institutions. However, if you play politics with the economy (the base), which support all other structures, Nigeria will collapsed.

I hope this government will listen to Nigerians and allow Dangote and his refinery to survive freely without political witch-hunting.
