ADC Imo Primary: Atiku Defeats Amaechi, Hayatu-Deen in Presidential Contest

Atiku Abubakar emerged winner of the ADC presidential primary in Imo State after securing 52,222 votes ahead of Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has won the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary in Imo State, beating former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi and economist Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.

The outcome was announced in Owerri by the Chairman of the Presidential Primary Election Committee, Eko Atu, who said the exercise was conducted in a peaceful, free, and transparent manner.

Final results showed Atiku securing 52,222 votes, while Amaechi polled 7,659 votes.

Hayatu-Deen finished third with 1,121 votes.

The committee chairman praised the conduct of party members, stating that the exercise reflected the democratic principles of the party.
