Uba Sani

In a time of economic hardship and uncertainty across the country, Governor Malam Uba Sani of Kaduna State has continued to distinguish himself as a leader who listens to the people and acts in their best interest. His recent approval of salary increments for staff of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, and other tertiary institutions in the state has been widely celebrated as a beacon of relief and encouragement to workers who have long been burdened by rising costs of living.

This gesture could not have come at a better time. The increase in salaries has brought renewed hope and happiness to many families, especially among the academic and non-academic staff who have tirelessly served despite economic challenges. With this move, Governor Uba Sani has once again demonstrated his administration’s commitment to education, fairness, and the welfare of public servants.

Across Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, staff members express gratitude, noting that this decision reflects a responsive government that understands the struggles of its citizens. It has strengthened morale and rekindled trust in leadership proof that compassion and good governance can coexist even amid political differences.

However, while acknowledging this laudable development, there remains an urgent issue that requires the state government’s attention the growing security challenges within the institution staff quarter’s, particularly at the Annex Campus.

In recent years, the number of security personnel at the polytechnic has drastically declined. Many of them retired during the previous administration, and those who were retained on contract have since been disengaged. As a result, security presence has become limited mainly to the main gates and administrative offices, leaving staff quarters and student areas vulnerable to local thieves and phone snatchers.

Residents of the campus have raised concerns over the rising insecurity, emphasizing the need for adequate protection of lives and property. The situation, if not addressed, could affect both academic activities and the overall sense of safety within the institution.

Therefore, it is a sincere appeal to His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, to kindly consider deploying or recruiting additional security personnel to Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, especially the Annex Campus. Reinforcing security within and around the school will not only protect staff and students but also sustain the atmosphere of peace and progress that your administration has worked hard to maintain across Kaduna State.

Governor Uba Sani’s record of service, compassion, and development continues to inspire hope in the educational sector. By addressing this issue, his government will further strengthen its reputation as one that prioritizes both welfare and safety, two pillars upon which a prosperous society stands.

The people of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic remain deeply grateful for the governor’s support and look forward to continued collaboration with the state government to ensure a secure and thriving academic environment for all.
