P-Square catalogue climbs Apple Music rankings amid renewed Okoye family dispute
P-Square’s Best of P-Square, Get Squared and Game Over have surged on Apple Music Nigeria following renewed attention on the Okoye brothers’ feud.
Several albums by the now-defunct music duo P-Square have made notable gains on Nigeria’s Apple Music Albums Chart as renewed tensions between Peter and Paul Okoye continue to attract public attention.
Music chart platform Album Talks HQ reported that Best of P-Square surged 87 positions to No. 100 on the Nigeria Apple Music Albums Chart.
The chart tracker also revealed that the group’s albums Get Squared and Game Over returned to the rankings at No. 173 and No. 182, respectively.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the spike in streaming activity follows the latest public fallout between the Okoye brothers, whose ongoing disagreements have once again become a major topic on social media.
The renewed spotlight has encouraged fans to revisit P-Square’s extensive catalogue, including classic songs such as Bizzy Body, Do Me, Game Over and Alingo.
P-Square emerged as one of Africa’s leading music groups in the early 2000s before breaking up in 2017 over alleged financial disagreements, creative differences and issues involving their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.
The duo reunited in November 2021 but separated again in 2024. Since then, Peter has continued his solo career as Mr P, while Paul performs as Rudeboy.
