United Nigeria Airlines has joined the Clearing House of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), marking a major milestone in the airline’s participation in the global aviation financial framework.

The airline became part of the IATA Clearing House (ICH) on February 1, 2026, placing it among international carriers that use the system for secure and streamlined financial settlements.

According to a statement from the airline’s management, the membership will enhance its operational efficiency and strengthen collaboration with global aviation partners.

“This milestone enables United Nigeria Airlines to settle interline billings, including passenger and cargo transactions, through a secure and centralized global settlement system.

“This admission reinforces our commitment to international best practices and operational transparency. While ICH membership facilitates seamless financial settlement between carriers, it serves as the foundation for our broader strategy to establish interline and codeshare partnerships.
