Iran Revolutionary Guards Say They Hit US Facilities in Bahrain, Destroyed Radars in Oman
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claim to have targeted US military infrastructure in Bahrain and destroyed radar installations in Oman during coordinated strikes.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have claimed responsibility for strikes in Bahrain and Oman, saying the attacks targeted US military infrastructure and radar installations.
According to a statement released on Monday through the Guards’ Sepah news outlet, the operation struck US military facilities in Juffair, Bahrain, with the force alleging that fires broke out at the location.
The Guards also claimed their naval forces destroyed two strategic radar systems in Oman, including a long-range airborne FPS radar and a ship-detection radar.
“In addition to targeting US military facilities and infrastructure in Juffair, Bahrain, where fires are raging, the navy of the Revolutionary Guards has… targeted and destroyed the long-range airborne FPS radar and the ship-detection radar in the Sultanate of Oman,” the statement read.
As of the time of filing this report, the claims had not been independently verified, while officials in Bahrain, Oman and the United States had not issued immediate responses.
