‘People Will Remember Him’ – Portable Calls Out Terry G for Boxing Showdown

Portable called out Terry G for a boxing match, insisting the fight would revive the veteran singer’s career and attract massive attention.

Nigerian singer Portable has challenged veteran entertainer Terry G to a boxing match, arguing that stepping into the ring with him would help revive Terry G’s public profile.

The singer, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television’s Rubbin’ Minds on Sunday, where he explained why he prefers fighting fellow entertainers.

“If I fight Terry G, people will remember him. I prefer facing fellow entertainers. I have no interest in fighting social media personalities, including VeryDarkMan and Carter Efe,” Portable said.

Portable also maintained that he pioneered celebrity boxing in Nigeria, claiming the exhibition fights have earned him millions of naira.

The Zazoo Zeh crooner is preparing for a rematch with actor Charles Okocha on July 31 in Lagos, a fight he believes will attract significant attention from fans.

He also outlined his plans after the bout, saying:

“If I defeat Terry G, I will travel to London before embarking on a tour of the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai and South Africa.”
