APC governors oust Uzodimma as Progressive Governors Forum chairman
APC governors reportedly removed Hope Uzodimma as PGF chairman hours after he represented governors at President Tinubu’s forms submission.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has been removed from his position as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), hours after speaking on behalf of APC governors during President Bola Tinubu’s submission of presidential nomination and expression of interest forms in Abuja.
The development emerged following an emergency meeting involving nearly 20 governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which took place at the Ogun State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja on Thursday night.
Among those reported to have attended the meeting were governors from Ogun, Bayelsa and Enugu States.
The meeting was still in progress at press time, with indications that the governors may soon announce a replacement for Uzodimma as chairman of the forum.
