Three soldiers have been killed following an attack by suspected terrorists on a military camp in Kemanji community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The assault, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, was marked by intense gunfire that reportedly spread across the community as the attackers struck without warning.

According to sources, the gunmen invaded the camp and engaged troops in a gunfight, leaving casualties among the military personnel.

A resident, who declined to be named, said the attack happened around 3 a.m., catching some of the soldiers off guard.

“Kemanji is a border community, close to the border, so there are thick forests around the place,” the source said.
