DMO allots N6.69bn in September 2026 FGN Savings Bond
DMO says FGN allotted N6.69bn through the September 2026 Savings Bond, attracting 4,899 bids across two-year and three-year tranches.
The Debt Management Office (DMO) says the Federal Government has allotted N6.69 billion to domestic investors through the September 2026 FGN Savings Bond (FGNSB).
The DMO made this known yesterday in its results for the September 2026 savings bond issuance.
The allotment was divided between two bond offerings. The two-year FGN Savings Bond carried an annual interest rate of 14.12 per cent, while the three-year bond offered 15.12 per cent per annum.
The government allotted N1.282 billion for the two-year bond following 1,690 bids. Meanwhile, the three-year bond received N5.407 billion in allotments from 3,209 bids.
The two instruments therefore attracted a combined 4,899 bids.
The bonds were offered to investors from September 7 to 11, 2026, with the two-year instrument scheduled to mature on September 16, 2028, and the three-year bond on September 16, 2029.
The settlement date for the allotments was September 16, 2026.
Coupon payments will be made quarterly, according to the results, with investors scheduled to receive returns on December 16, March 16, June 16 and September 16 each year until maturity.
