Cole Palmer’s two late doubles helped Chelsea defeat Manchester United 4-3 on Thursday, capping an incredible evening for the player.

Within the first four minutes, Conor Gallagher scored the first goal for the home team on a deflected attempt by Malo Gusto. Palmer then extended the lead from the penalty spot following a foul on Marc Cucurella.

However, the two-goal cushion was short-lived. After a mistake by Moises Caicedo, Garnacho drew one back for the Red Devils, and Bruno Fernandes equalised with a headed header just before halftime.

Chelsea attempted to tie the score after halftime, but Garnacho nodded in his second goal, and Gallagher struck the crossbar in stoppage time.
After Diogo Dalot had fouled Noni Madueke, Palmer had other plans and made it 3-3 with another penalty. The former Manchester City player then completed his hat-trick by slamming a deflected shot past Andre Onana.
