Pretty Mike Opens Up on N100m Club Renovation After Months-Long Shutdown
Pretty Mike reveals how he rebuilt Proxy Lagos with over N100 million after a nine-month closure and shares details about his business ventures.
Lagos socialite and nightlife entrepreneur Pretty Mike has revealed that he spent more than N100 million renovating his nightclub, Proxy Lagos, after it was shut down following an NDLEA raid.
In an interview with journalists at the venue, the entertainer said the closure, which lasted about nine months, forced him to rebuild and reposition the business.
He explained that the renovation was aimed at improving the club experience and restoring operations after a challenging shutdown period.
“I spent over N100 million renovating the club. After everything that happened, I felt there was a need to rebuild and create something even better for people who support my business,” he said.
Pretty Mike said he remained financially stable during the period due to diversified income sources and backing from family and associates.
“The brand, Pretty Mike, is always making money. That is what has kept me afloat regardless,” he said.
He further revealed that aside from nightlife, he is active in construction and real estate, where he develops and sells properties.
“I have a construction firm. I’m also slightly into real estate where I build and sell properties,” he noted.
Addressing perceptions about his public image, he said controversy has become associated with his brand over time.
“My brand is already a controversial brand. It doesn’t necessarily mean I like controversy, but I found out that in this business, it is part of it,” he said.
Despite his flashy lifestyle, he described himself as a private person who prefers staying indoors.
“I actually hate parties and loud music. I like staying indoors by myself,” he added.
Pretty Mike also expressed hope of getting married in the future, saying he values family life and sees marriage as an important milestone.
