Terrorists Kill Three Vigilantes in Plateau, One Injured in Fresh Village Attack

Gunmen killed three vigilantes in Plateau State, leaving one injured as security forces arrest a suspect after the attack.

Armed terrorists have killed three vigilante youths and injured another during a late-night assault on Pwomol Village in Heipang District, Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State.

The attack, which occurred around midnight, is the second recorded incident in the community within one week.

The injured victim is said to be in critical condition and undergoing treatment.

According to Rwang Tengwong of the Berom Youth Moulders-Association, security operatives apprehended one suspect shortly after the incident near the Redemption Camp area between Heipang and Kassa.

He said the suspect, discovered with blood stains, is currently detained at Sector 4 in Barkin Ladi.

Reacting to the development, the association under its president Dalyop Mwantiri strongly condemned the killings and demanded a transparent investigation.

It further called for the suspect to be brought to justice and to assist authorities in identifying accomplices.

The group also praised the intervention of Operation Enduring Peace and encouraged residents to report suspicious activities.

“The Berom Youth Moulders-Association remains committed to the protection of lives and the pursuit of justice for victims of violent attacks across Berom land and beyond,” the statement read.
