White House Announces Trump’s Annual Health Evaluations for May 26
Donald Trump is scheduled for annual medical and dental assessments at Walter Reed as questions about his health continue.
US President Donald Trump is expected to undergo his annual medical and dental examinations on May 26 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to the White House.
In a statement issued Monday, the administration said the evaluations are part of the president’s regular preventive healthcare plan.
“This will include the President’s routine annual dental and medical assessments as part of his regular preventive health care,” the White House stated.
Trump, who turns 80 next month, has consistently insisted that he remains in good physical and mental condition.
The president underwent another major medical examination in October 2025 and later said tests conducted during the visit, including an MRI, indicated that his cardiovascular health was “excellent.”
“His cardiac age — a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG — was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. He continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restriction,” his doctor, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, said in a medical letter released at the time.
Trump also completed a semi-annual health assessment in April.
Since returning to the White House, the president has frequently appeared with bruising on his right hand, sometimes covered with makeup.
According to the White House, the marks are linked to aspirin use as part of a routine cardiovascular treatment regimen.
The administration also revealed last summer that Trump had been evaluated for leg swelling and diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition in which blood pools in the veins because of faulty valves.
The condition can reportedly be managed through medication or targeted medical procedures.
