632,788 UTME Results Released as JAMB Cracks Down on Score Manipulation
Candidates can now check UTME 2026 results as JAMB publishes first batch and cautions against falsifying scores.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published the first batch of results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with 632,788 candidates who sat for the April 16 exam now able to access their scores.
The release, announced late Friday, is being regarded as one of the quickest in the Board’s history.
According to JAMB spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, candidates can check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
“The results of candidates who sat the 2026 UTME on Thursday, 16 April 2026, have been released and are now available for viewing,” he stated.
“At this stage, candidates may view their results only; printing is not yet available.”
The UTME, which commenced on April 16, will run through April 22 at centres across the country.
Alongside the release, JAMB issued a stern warning against any attempt to manipulate scores. The Board described such actions as criminal and revealed that it has already arrested two candidates and a parent for allegedly using artificial intelligence and other electronic methods to falsify results.
Benjamin emphasised that those found guilty would be prosecuted, reaffirming that examination malpractice would attract strict legal consequences. He added that more batches of results would be made public as the examination progresses.
