Pep Guardiola -Man City

Pep Guardiola has urged West Ham United to frustrate Arsenal as the Premier League title race intensifies.

The Manchester City manager made the appeal after his side secured a 3-0 win against Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Jérémy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush were all on target as City moved within two points of Arsenal at the top of the table.

Attention now shifts to Arsenal’s away fixture against West Ham on Sunday, with Guardiola openly hoping the Hammers can take points off the league leaders.

ESPN reported that Guardiola finished his post-match media session by making a crossed-arms gesture associated with West Ham fans before saying, “come on you Irons.”

Reflecting on the title race, Guardiola acknowledged the challenge of competing against Arsenal this season.

“We are fighting with a team in the final of the Champions League without losing a game and have been top of the league almost all season,” the Spaniard said.
