The intelligence chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has been killed in Israeli airstrikes, as tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States continue to escalate.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards confirmed that Majid Khademi was killed “at dawn” during the strikes.

The development comes as Iran rejected an ultimatum issued by Donald Trump, who threatened to destroy civilian infrastructure if Tehran fails to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

“Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell,” Trump said in a social media post.

In response, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, accused Trump of threatening war crimes.

Iran has maintained restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route, triggering spikes in energy prices and economic concerns worldwide.

Hostilities have intensified across the region, with Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Israel, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, while Israel carried out strikes in Iran and Lebanon, where it is also engaged with Hezbollah.

Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed the strike, saying it was retaliation for attacks on Israeli civilians.

He described Khademi as “one of the direct perpetrators of these war crimes… one of the top three officials in the organisation,” adding: “We will continue to hunt them one by one.”

Amid the escalating conflict, diplomatic channels remain active, with reports suggesting a possible 45-day ceasefire proposal involving Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey.

However, Iran has denied taking part in any negotiations with the United States or Israel.

The war, which began on February 28, has widened across the Middle East, with continued strikes reported in Lebanon and attacks affecting cities such as Haifa and Abu Dhabi.
