Iran Says It Targeted US Bases in Bahrain and Jordan with Drone Strikes

Iran’s armed forces say they have launched drone attacks against US military bases in Bahrain and Jordan in response to the latest American military action against the country.

According to a statement carried by Iranian state television, the operation involved Arash kamikaze drones, which allegedly struck fuel depots, equipment storage facilities, silos and barracks at Isa Air Base in Bahrain.

The military stated: “This morning, the fuel tanks, large equipment warehouses and silos and the barracks of the US terrorist army forces at the Isa Air Base in Bahrain were targeted by Arash kamikaze drones.”

Following the announcement, an AFP journalist in Bahrain reported hearing an explosion and warning sirens, though authorities had not confirmed any link between the reported events and Iran’s claim.

The Iranian military further said it targeted the Al-Azraq base in Jordan, claiming the strikes hit aircraft hangars, aviation maintenance hangars and military barracks.

As of the latest reports, Jordan had not acknowledged any strikes on its territory.

Iran has repeatedly stated that any US military installation in the Middle East used to launch attacks against the country would be regarded as a legitimate military target for retaliation.
