The World Police Summit was inaugurated in 2021 to bring together global leaders, experts, and innovators in law enforcement and public safety. Organised by the Dubai Police, the Summit has grown into a key international platform, drawing participants from over 138 nations.
Representatives from leading agencies such as the FBI, NYPD, LAPD, Nigeria Police Force, Metropolitan Police, Australian Federal Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and German Police convene in Dubai to share expertise and discuss actionable strategies.

The World Police Summit, one of the leading global forums for law enforcement professionals, is dedicated to advancing public safety and enhancing security through collaboration, innovation, and strategic insights.

The fourth edition was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 13 and 15 May 2025 and delivered impactful solutions and insights to address the challenges of modern policing and law enforcement.

The participation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, especially in the expert-led discussions and fireside chats on key topics driving the next era of policing, offers insights into emerging trends, challenges, and innovative solutions for a safer tomorrow and is a plus to the Nigeria Police Force.

The attendance of IGP Kayode Egbetokun at the World Police Summit offers numerous advantages for the Nigeria Police Force.

One of the advantages to the Nigeria Police as the summit gathered law enforcement leaders, experts, and innovators from around the world is the provision of an excellent platform for Nigeria to connect, share ideas, and establish valuable relationships.

The summit gave the Nigeria Police Force the opportunity to learn from the keynote speakers and panel discussions that featured experts who shared best practices, new technologies, and innovative strategies in policing.

It also allowed the Nigeria Police Force to stay updated on trends that will enhance their departments, such as the latest advancements in policing technology, crime prevention tools, and operational practices.

Nigeria’s participation is a plus, as the Police Force gained insights into how different countries and cultures approach law enforcement, which will help to foster collaboration and adaptation of successful strategies across borders.

By interacting with international police, the Nigeria Police Force explored collaborative efforts in combating crime, terrorism, and other security challenges that required a unified response.

Participating in the summit is a significant addition to the Nigeria Police Force’s professional development, showcasing a commitment to ongoing education and improvement in the field of law enforcement.

Above all, Egbetokun’s participation at the World Police Summit is a transformative experience that will contribute significantly to personal growth, professional development, and improved policing practices in Nigeria.
