Journey-of-life

THE RICHEST PLACE IN THE WORLD IS THE GRAVE.

“Have you ever wondered why, despite all the advances in science, wealth, and technology, humans remain powerless against one inevitable reality—death?” Why don’t we come into the world and enjoy this gift of life without going back? But I guess life is not fashioned like that, you lose someone you never wanted to, among all the realities that confront humanity, none is as certain and yet as feared as death. It doesn’t take permission before it comes, it doesn’t ask you if you’re ready to welcome it, it doesn’t ask you if you’ve achieved everything you want to achieve it just comes. Death is inevitable, irrespective of age, wealth, strength, status, personality, and wisdom.

Death doesn’t discriminate. The poor or the wealthy, the tall or the short , old or young , president and citizens we all share the same fate. Death is one thing that unites people together no matter who you are. Death has no cure, death is inevitable, it can’t be escaped. You may never know how painful death is until you lose someone close to you. Death doesn’t care if you’re the strongest man ever lived, it doesn’t seek your opinion on when to come, it does it’s own will. Families are torn apart because of death, destines are buried beneath the ground and this makes the grave the richest place in the world. The grave has often been described as the “ richest place in the world” because it contains unrealized dreams, unwritten books, undiscovered inventions and untapped talents. The grave is small but yet the richest place in the world.

What is Death ? Death is the end of life. It is the irreversible cessation of biological functions that sustain a living organism; however, the identification of the moment of death presents certain difficulties. Death is as unique as the individual who is experiencing it. According to World Health Organization ( WHO), Millions of deaths occur globally each year from various causes.

The philosopher Socrates viewed death as a natural part of existence and encouraged individuals to live virtuous lives rather than fear death itself. Although death is certain , the timing and circumstances surrounding it often remain unpredictable. Some individuals give clear directives about how they want to die, saying or writing things like this: “I want my family and close friends with me, if possible… I will spend quality time with my family and friends before the actual event of dying… I want to be alone with God when I die.” But sometimes, these wishes do not come through because nobody knows that very day it will end. It could be a Sunday morning, Monday, any random day of the week. Death is very unpredictable because assuming we get the opportunity of knowing the day we will take our last breath, they wouldn’t be much regret because you get to fulfill most of your wishes if not all but then again death is unpredictable.

It could be as soon as today.

God forbid.

It could be tomorrow.

It shall not be your portion.

But it’s coming.

No amount of prayer can halt it.

MR. Ayo the bread winner of the family goes out in search of daily bread like every other day, with a newborn baby in the house and three children, going out to come back with something for the family but ends up in the hands of an enemy ( Death). It wasn’t planned, he just went out like every other day but this fateful day, he was called home.

Now His three children becomes fatherless, the woman now a widow, the new born never got to experience the father’s love because he was cut up with this tragedy DEATH. Death remains one of the greatest mysteries of human existence and the one reality that no one can completely escape

Ironically, death teaches us one of life’s greatest lessons: to value time. The awareness that our days are numbered encourages us to love deeply, pursue our dreams, forgive others, and contribute positively to society. Many great achievements in history were driven by individuals who understood that life is short and sought to leave a lasting legacy.

Benjamin Franklin added that it is easy to make history. “Either write something worth reading,” he suggested, “or do something worth writing about.”

And now the question is What will people say when you die?

Don’t stop now. You’ve already begun. Pausing won’t change fate because it will still happen.

If I told you your death would come in the next three weeks, how would you live the next 21 days? What memories will you make, how will you make the people around you feel?

Death often occurs unexpectedly, reminding individuals that life is fragile and uncertain. it works quietly so we don’t panic. It wants us to keep living as though it’s not lurking around the corner and then boom it comes.

But what if today really is your last day? We don’t like to think about it, we don’t want to hear it, we cover ourselves with the blood of Jesus and say, “God forbid”. It’s not my portion. But it could be and it must be. It might not be today, or tomorrow or 10 years time but it will definitely be. What matters now is how you live this life, what difference will you make before you go, what impact will you make in the lives of people around you, who will miss you when you go? These are questions we should ask ourselves because whether or not we will die is not even a question so the earlier we accept the fate of death the better.

Until we accept this fate, we won’t live life to its fullness. That grave we all fear, we will end up there one day. It might be you, it might be me so let every moment in life count , make memories, live well, live impacting lives one way or another

Now we know why amidst the advances in science, wealth, technology humans remain powerless over this inevitable reality – Death.
