At 41, Lewis Hamilton insists he is pushing harder than ever, declaring his commitment to Formula One stronger than at any point in his career.

Now driving for Ferrari, the seven-time world champion has begun the season in promising form, sitting fourth in the standings—18 points behind George Russell of Mercedes after two races.

A podium finish in China marked his first top-three result since joining Ferrari ahead of the 2025 campaign, signaling a sharp turnaround from last season’s struggles.

“I was in Tokyo… I’ve run like 100 kilometres,” Hamilton said, underlining the effort behind his resurgence.

“I know that none of the drivers I’m racing against have trained as hard as I am… especially at my age.”

He added: “The commitment is there, more than ever. I dedicate absolutely everything I have to this challenge.”

Hamilton even joked that his early-morning training schedule puts him ahead of his rivals’ daily routines.

The renewed form follows a difficult first year with Ferrari, when he finished sixth and suffered a run of Q1 eliminations.

This season’s regulation changes have also transformed the racing dynamic, with more overtaking and closer on-track battles. Hamilton recently came out on top in a fierce duel with team-mate Charles Leclerc in Shanghai.

“That’s how racing should be,” he said. “It should be back and forth…”
