Police Shake-Up: IGP Disu Redeploys Senior Officers, Releases Full List of New AIGs, CPs

The Nigeria Police Force announces a nationwide redeployment of senior officers as IGP Disu unveils new postings for AIGs and CPs.

In a major overhaul of the Nigeria Police Force leadership structure, Inspector-General of Police Olukayode Disu has ordered the redeployment of senior officers to key positions nationwide.

The announcement, made on Tuesday by Force Public Relations Officer DCP Anthony Okon Placid, said the changes are part of efforts to reinforce command effectiveness, improve operational performance, and ensure better service delivery.

“The postings deployed the officers as follows: AIG Ado Emmanuel to Research and Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja; AIG Joseph Eribo to the Department of Armament, Force Headquarters, Abuja; AIG Miller Dantawaye to the Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja; and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche to the Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

“Others are AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos; AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom to FCID Annex, Lagos; AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit, Force Headquarters, Abuja; AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to Police Accounts and Budget, Force Headquarters, Abuja; while AIG Dahiru Mohammed has been posted to Zone 15, Maiduguri.

“Similarly, AIG Dankombo Morris has been deployed to Zone 4, Makurdi; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba to the Department of Legal Services, Force Headquarters, Abuja; and AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing, Force Headquarters, Abuja.”

The redeployment also saw a wide range of Commissioners of Police reassigned to state commands and strategic units. Among them are CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya (Jigawa), CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola (Oyo), CP Yemi John Oyeniyi (Delta), CP Olubode Ojajuni (Ogun), and CP Michael Adegoroye Falade (Ekiti).

Others include CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed (FCT), CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai (Lagos), CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello (Zamfara), CP Umar Ali Fagge (Katsina), and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan (Sokoto), alongside numerous postings to specialised formations such as INTERPOL, SWAT, FCID, and training institutions.

The reshuffle covers key operational and administrative units across Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna, and other parts of the country.

IGP Disu charged the officers to bring their wealth of experience to bear in their new assignments and to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and service in the discharge of their duties.
