He is a reputable figure, an not curruptable personality of record and an excellent administrator that has worked with integrity and prudent.

Sahara Reporters story titled: EXCLUSIVE: “Fraud, Job Racketeering Scandal Rocks Nigeria’s Technical Education Board As Staff Accuse Bugaje Of Flouting Service Rules” on the 14th August, 2025 is a one sided story published by paid masters to only tarnished the personality of Professor Idris M. His leadership style is characterized by transparency, accountability, and a commitment to meritocracy. Evidences are there available on national dailies for those that toe the line of truth. In the face of adversity, Prof. Bugaje remains steadfast, refusing to let baseless allegations deter him from his mission. His focus remains on transforming the technical education landscape, empowering young Nigerians with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.

The allegation on the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Prof. Idris M. Bugaje is baseless and unfounded, it is only the work of people who don’t want good change in the Nigeria technical education and the NBTE. They are people who want to get more than theirs and only want to destroy the good foundation of the Board.

Prof. Bugaje has been working tirelessly to improve the quality of technical education in Nigeria, and his leadership has been focused on ensuring that the Board meets its mandate. The criticisms are always one-sided and are only attacking good records of Professor Bugaje because they publishers of such stories lack good understanding of the Board’s activities and policies, meaning they are paid for such unlawful acts while violating the ethics and laws of journalism making grievous offences in the laws of Nigeria.

The NBTE we know is committed to transparency and accountability in its operations, and that all its activities are guided by the relevant laws and regulations and those alleging negative operations at the Board can go and attest these proving facts. In a world of digital age nothing is hidden and those wanting to know more can knock on the NBTE’s door if truly they are working for the truth.
